Who is behind the Spicy Rocking Chair?
Hey there, friends!
Nice to meet you…I’m so glad you stopped by! Grab a drink and pull up a chair…Let’s take a moment to chat!
(Everyone calls me Di, btw. “Lady Di” is a nickname I picked up along the way).
Who Am I?
I am a mom to one fabulous teenage son and wife to an amazing chef. We have two mischievous pups, along with a spunky bearded dragon, all with their fair contributions to keeping life interesting!
I am, literally, a “Jack Of All Trades”. From the pizza shop I started with at age 15, to retail, restaurant life, innkeeper, business owner, and corporate accounting…I’ve done it.
I have a brain that soaks everything up. If I don’t know the answer to something, I will find it for you.
I overthink. You can bet, I’ve already asked that exact question myself. Now, I need to know the answer as well!
Consider me your Personal Assistant.
Priorities
Family.
That’s my first priority. I have been blessed, and I know it.
After that, my priorities are all about good food, travel, entertainment, perspective, and just allowing myself to enjoy the life I’ve have been given. That’s it.
I have seen a handful of beautiful places on this planet, and my goal is to see as many more as I can possibly handle.
I also have a certain appreciation for the finer quality foods available. When I learned how to make good food myself (courtesy of my husband), the world became even brighter 🙂
My Happy
When I’m not observing others and the overall events of the world, you will likely find me sitting in my beloved rocking chair, contemplating other mysteries of the universe.
I am constantly searching for different answers to just about everything most of us ponder, on a day to day basis.
And yes, I do completely over think just about everything! It is in my nature.
My main motto is “Knowledge is Key…Perspective is power.”
This Venture…
It is my analytical personality that led me to starting this blog. It’s other view points that give me more to chew on, after all!
I do hope this little space on the world wide web, can become a community where the exchange of views and ideas can enlighten us all.
(I think most of us can agree today’s society could use a bit more perspective in general).
There are everyday life situations we all run into…kids, holidays, vacations, health, entertainment, what’s for dinner tonight…ya know, all of the things. I hope I can create a place for you to find quick, answers, recommendations, and inspiration.
You can expect there to be a bit of sass or dark humor from time to time, but it will be interesting…(Keeping Life Spicy 😉
