Alright. This little summer break of mine, has gone on far too long when it comes to my Spotify music lists. Music is a major part of my life. It gets me through everything.

Truth of the matter? I have had too many other topics to cover these last few months. While music is an every day part of my life, I haven’t put as much time into creating lovely little Spotify playlists as I originally set out to do. I originally planned to put at least one list out per month. It’s been almost 3 months…yikes!

It’s okay though. It gave me more time to travel through songs and create a much bigger library than usual 🙂

Decisions, Decisions…

I couldn’t decide between the decades of good hits with this list. I knew I wanted to cover certain favorites, but it is much harder to narrow those down to a particular span of years. If you are at least 30 years old, you know what I’m saying.

As I have mentioned in previous posts, music has always been huge and quite diverse in my life. It’s hard to pile so many favorites from one era into a single list, without it becoming a bit mundane. I tend to like variety with music. I like random surprises that take me back. Random songs that make me smile. Random songs that make me think. Overall, random songs that just feel good. Most of all, I like when random songs come at me with no warning.

All of that having been said, I couldn’t decide which decade to cover first. I have a bunch of music lists planned. Making a choice on which to go with first, is the problem. That explains this particular list. This one is a small sample of what’s to come. It involves a variety of music hits that span across 3 decades…1970’s, 1980’s, and 1990’s.

The End Result

I did my best to group together the greatest songs, into a 4 hour spot. Consider this Part 1 of a series. Again, I like variety. I’m sure at some point, I will create specific lists for each decade. Not now. I like what is coming at me currently. I’m pretty sure you will too 🙂

As with my previous lists…once I have the list created, I hit the shuffle button and save that specific order. It adds even more spontaneity 🙂 As usual, I embedded the actual Spotify list, followed by the individual corresponding Youtube videos.

Please Note: You will need to create a FREE Spotify account for the complete experience, if you don’t already have one. Otherwise, the track compilation below will only give you previews for each song :/

Who wants that?

Anyway, hit that play button and enjoy!
