43 Best Hot & Cold Sandwich Recipe Ideas You’ll Love!

Mmm…Sandwiches. Who doesn’t love a good sandwich? I honestly can’t understand how humanity got by before sandwiches were invented. They have become so much a part of life and for so many reasons! Whether it be a lunch you are packing, a party you are hosting or just something quick and satisfying to eat. You can count on the beloved sandwich to come to the rescue!

Sandwiches aren’t just great for quick and easy convenience, though. Over the years, they have become a staple in society. An expectation. A creation. And sometimes, an outright masterpiece!

Because I am so fond of sandwiches, I am always on the look out for the next great sandwich to add to my list of favorites. There are no real rules involved in making sandwiches. Anything goes, as long as the basics are there…ingredients stuffed inside bread of sorts.

I take that back. Open faced sandwiches involve only one slice of bread. Though some would argue an open-faced sandwich is not technically a sandwich. Their official name is smørrebrød. It’s funny just how much controversy that one style of sandwich has caused in the past! Check it out here (terminology).

In any event, I decided this week’s article had to be about sandwiches. We’ve been making the same 5 or 6 sandwiches in my house, recently. Inspiration is definitely needed. Check out all of the finger licking options I came across. Of course, this is only a fraction of what I actually came across. Alas, recipes for another day 🙂
