I don’t know about you, but music is one of the biggest loves of my life! I don’t really have any particular genre I prefer over another. All of my favorite hits are awesome, for their own reasons, and they vary across the board in a way that doesn’t even make sense to me!
I credit my mother mostly, for my love of music. My Grandmother played a part to some degree with her love for Patsy Cline, Dolly Parton, Johnny Cash, Kenny Rogers, etc. My mother, however, introduced me to so much more and so many different genres. Along with her own favorites, combined with my grandmother’s favorites, I started life off knowing that music is a large and beautiful part of life. It didn’t matter what we were doing…riding in the car, doing household chores, decorating for holidays…music was Always on.
And it Always made the atmosphere more relaxed.

My aunt, cousins, and friends helped to mold my later music tastes. Combine all of that with the launch of MTV and VH-1, it was inevitable that my music inclination would go to extremes! Now, it’s just one huge Hodge-Podge of crazy!
Today’s Motivation…
Today was one of those days where music was on in the background, pretty much all day. The shuffle that started it, just kept my day flowing nicely and I had no need to turn down the vibes. The music gave me the energy to accomplish a bunch of things I’ve been putting off. And, well maybe it’s also because the weekend is here and we don’t all have to get up for school in the morning.
Yay! I could use the extra beauty sleep…
In any event, I decided to share my little “Pep Up Playlist” in case any of you could use a bit of joyful motivation to clean the house or would like some good tunes to accompany you on your next morning jog.
Future Spotify
I have many other playlists in mind for virtually any activity, event, genre or mood you can think of. The artists and release year vary across the board, because usually I set the tone with my first music choice whenever I want to hear some good tunes. From there, the algorithm takes over and gives me a Shuffle that is just, On Point. I become even happier when some random song I all, but forgot about, sneaks it’s way in. Makes the music journey that much more interesting!
Hopefully this list will get your day started in the right direction. The songs are not in any particular order…just a collection of favorites shuffled for the sole purpose of creating a fun, upbeat sort of vibe. The Spotify Playlist is first, for easy continuous listening. That is followed by a separate playlist of the same songs, but with links to the Youtube videos.
I plan to post other playlists from my collection, in the months to come. So, check back often for new music to add to your own Spotify collection! Consider this a teaser of what is yet to come 🙂
